Felia Salim’s professional career spans across financial and financial-related services. The last position she held is the Vice President of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Tbk. (2008—2015) after serving as Independent Commissioner of BNI from 2004 to 2008. Previously, she assumed the roles of Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (2001), Chairman of the Secretariat at the Financial Sector Policy Committee (2000—2001), and Director of PT. Bursa Efek Jakarta (1994—1999).
Besides that, she serves as Vice Chairwoman of Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association (AEI—since 2008), Advisory Board – Financial Governance Technical Support AUSAID (since 2004), and Management Member of Indonesian Banks Association (Perbanas—since 2007). She is also involved in philanthropy by working with Tifa Foundation (promoting an open society in Indonesia) and Yayasan Sejati (promoting cultural documentation in Papua, Sulawesi, and Maluku).
She obtained her Bachelor degree in Economics from Carleton University, Canada, and Master degree in Political Economics from the same university. For her inspiring professional career, Felia Salim was awarded Kartini Award from BUMN Track (2012).
