As part of the Asia Pacific Services Coalition (APSC) and together with APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), ISD successfully held the APSC/ABAC Public-Private Dialogue on Services last week (Tue 23/4 to Wed 24/4).
The public-private dialogue is held annually across APEC member countries. ISD was honoured to be the host for this year event, with the theme of “The Impact of New Technologies: Implementing the APEC Services Competitiveness Roadmap (ASCR) in the Digital Era”.
The forum brought together international experts from the public & private sector discussing the implementation of APEC Services Competitiveness Roadmap and the current trend of services and how should businesses and regulators respond to it, especially new technologies.
The forum was opened by Mr Chris Kanter (Chairman of ISD & CEO of Indosat Ooredoo) and Dr Rizal Affandi Lukman (Deputy-Minister, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs) highlighted services sector’s critical role in Indonesia and global economy, as well as the servicification and digitalisation trends.
Closing Remarks were brought by Mr Iskandar Panjaitan (Director of Trade in Services, Ministry of Trade) and Ms Devi Ariyani (ISD’s executive director) and followed by press conference.
